ETL Data Integration Lead Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETL Data Integration Lead to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is ideal for a technical leader with extensive background in data engineering, specifically data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. As the ETL Data Integration Lead, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing efficient data solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting ongoing business intelligence initiatives. This position is open within the public sector, providing the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for an agile development team, providing direction throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Acquire data from diverse sources, ensuring it is appropriately integrated and available for multiple business uses.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL scripts to transform source data into a dimensional model, creating views and materialized views within Oracle databases.
- Leverage Informatica Power Center or IICS to automate ETL processes, including extracting data from external sources and transforming it for downstream consumption.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers and architects to design, implement, and refine optimal data models and integration solutions.
- Validate and verify SQL scripts, Informatica automations, and database views, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Develop and maintain automated testing procedures for ongoing verification and validation of data processes.
- Participate in all agile sprint ceremonies, contributing to planning, reviews, and retrospectives to enhance project delivery.
- Engage with stakeholders and customers to develop data solution mockups and validate requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise, working collaboratively with the broader team.
- Assist in the implementation and configuration of development tools necessary for data integration initiatives.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, diagrams, and records to support ongoing DD&I (Data Design and Integration) efforts.
- Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Interpret evolving business requirements, assess their impact, and propose enhancements or modifications to existing data integration processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational goals and project success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience developing ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica Power Center or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Extensive experience acquiring and integrating data from multiple technologies and sources, with a focus on supporting data visualization platforms such as Tableau.
- Proven track record as a technical leader, including experience leading agile development teams through complex projects.
