Data Integration Lead (ETL/SQL) Job Overview
IDR is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Integration Lead (ETL/SQL) to join our team in the public sector industry. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, team-oriented environment and to play a key role in driving data initiatives. As a Data Integration Lead (ETL/SQL), you will serve as a technical leader, guiding agile development teams and contributing to high-impact data integration projects in a dynamic and supportive work culture. Working in this capacity, you will be responsible for the acquisition, transformation, and integration of data from a variety of sources, ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for agile development teams, providing direction throughout project lifecycles.
- Acquire and integrate data from multiple sources for diverse business requirements.
- Develop complex SQL scripts to transform source data into dimensional models, and create database views and materialized views in Oracle.
- Design and implement automation solutions using Informatica Power Center/IICS to extract and transform external data for integration into enterprise data models.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering Team to design and implement optimal data architectures and solutions.
- Verify and validate SQL scripts, Informatica automation, and database views to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Develop automated processes for verification and validation to streamline quality assurance.
- Participate in all agile sprint ceremonies, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Engage with architects and the Data Engineering Team to refine implementation designs and data acquisition strategies.
- Develop data model mockups and collaborate with customers for validation and feedback.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues alongside team members to maintain project momentum.
- Assist with the configuration and implementation of development tools to enhance team effectiveness.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, diagrams, and other artifacts to support data initiatives.
- Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Interpret and analyze evolving business requirements, proposing system enhancements and modifications as appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience developing ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica Power Center or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Extensive experience integrating data from diverse sources and technologies, leveraging Informatica tools for use by platforms such as Tableau.
- Demonstrated expertise as a technical leader, including experience leading agile development teams through complex projects.
Preferred Skills
- Strong proficiency with SQL, Oracle databases, and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience with the design and implementation of automation solutions for data validation and verification.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
