The Cybersecurity Engineer will focus on the implementation of robust security best practices, leveraging expertise in secure coding, threat modeling, and risk assessment. You will work closely with developers, UI developers, and API developers to ensure that security is integrated seamlessly into application design, development, and deployment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of API security, UI security, and secure coding practices, as well as the ability to balance technical security needs with strategic business objectives. This role emphasizes rapid and secure software deployment, making it essential for the Cybersecurity Engineer to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain security documentation, stay current with emerging security threats, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's security posture. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding development teams to comply with security standards and regulations and in supporting the implementation of secure access controls via standards such as SAML or OAuth. Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Review and address scan findings, working with teams to remediate vulnerabilities
- Enable single sign-on via SAML or OAuth and manage access control policies
- Guide development teams on secure coding practices and risk mitigation
- Provide expert security guidance to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including threat models and risk assessments
- Stay informed about emerging security threats and apply knowledge to enhance security posture
- Support rapid and secure deployment of applications, balancing security needs with business objectives

Qualifications & Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on secure development and deployment
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, threat modeling, and risk assessment
- Experience with Azure and/or EntraID
- Proficiency with Single Sign-On using SAML or OAuth
- Familiarity with security tools such as Postman, Burp Suite, and vulnerability management
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell or Python)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on effective security solutions
- Familiarity with API security frameworks (OAuth, JWT) and UI development tools
- Experience with the OWASP Top 10 and remediation strategies
- Ability to create technical and non-technical documentation
- Agile development experience, including CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Relevant certifications (SSCP required within 180 days of hire)
- Must have permanent US work authorization
