The Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role within an established State Farm Insurance office, delivering quality support to clients regarding policy inquiries, account updates, and claims assistance. This Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) position is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, offering flexibility for candidates seeking different employment arrangements. Working as an Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR), you will operate from the agent's office, maintaining direct communication with policyholders to ensure their needs are met efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to policyholders by answering questions and addressing concerns related to insurance policies including property and casualty coverage.
- Assist clients in understanding and managing their insurance accounts, processing policy changes, renewals, and cancellations as required.
- Support the claims process by gathering relevant information, explaining procedures, and keeping clients informed about the status of their claims.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services that meet client needs while adhering to compliance guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and the office agent to ensure a seamless client experience and uphold the office’s service standards.
- Follow up with clients and prospects to build lasting relationships and foster client loyalty.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience working in customer service, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Active Property and Casualty (P&C) License is required to be considered for this Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) position.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and client management software is highly desirable.
