Customer Service Representative (CSR) Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team on a part-time basis. As a CSR, you will play a vital role in supporting our insurance agency's daily operations and ensuring that our clients receive outstanding service at every interaction. This position is ideal for those who are motivated self-starters, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about helping others. Our agency is committed to providing comprehensive training, so previous insurance experience is not required. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build valuable skills and grow within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and that they feel valued and supported.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service, addressing customer inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about various insurance options available to them.
- Follow up with customers as needed to ensure satisfaction and to address any outstanding questions or concerns.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality service every day.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and thorough customer support and to achieve overall agency goals.
- Prepare and submit timely, accurate activity reports to the agent.
- Stay up-to-date on product changes, licensing requirements, technical developments, and ongoing education to remain knowledgeable in the field.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and develop trust with clients.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening communication abilities.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing computer functions and agency-specific software.
- Must be able to obtain Property & Casualty license and Life and Health license as required by state regulations.
