Customer Service Representative Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join a leading State Farm Agent team as a full-time employee. No prior insurance experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate with the appropriate skills and strong desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Provide accurate, timely, and friendly customer service by responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing matters.
- Educate clients on available insurance options and guide them through the decision-making process using a needs-based, customer-focused approach.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving success daily.
- Utilize computer systems efficiently to document customer interactions and manage policy information.
- Prepare and deliver timely activity reports to the agent, ensuring transparency and accountability in all customer service activities.
- Remain proactive in identifying customer needs and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred to better serve a diverse client base.
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities, with excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Demonstrated people-oriented attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering high standards of customer service.
- Able to efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness and ability to learn new computer functions and adapt to evolving technologies.
- Property & Casualty license (must be able to obtain).
- Life and Health license (must be able to obtain).
- Commitment to staying current with product updates, licensing requirements, technical developments, and ongoing education in the insurance field.
This is a full-time Customer Service Representative position within a State Farm independent contractor agent's office. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.
