Customer Service Representative (CSR) Position OverviewA Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a pivotal role in ensuring that clients receive outstanding support and service throughout their interactions with an insurance agency. Prior insurance experience is not required, as comprehensive training is provided to equip new hires with the necessary knowledge and skills. Key Responsibilities- Establish and nurture customer relationships, following up as needed to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including responding to inquiries about insurance availability, eligibility, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing questions.
- Utilize a needs-based review process to educate customers about a variety of insurance options, helping them make informed decisions.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and maintain a commitment to daily success, ensuring company standards for service are met or exceeded.
- Provide timely and thorough activity reports to the agent, supporting effective communication and workflow within the team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities to handle a variety of customer needs and administrative tasks.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

- Ability to learn and utilize computer functions relevant to the insurance industry.
- Must be able to obtain Property & Casualty license as well as Life and Health license; ongoing commitment to staying current with product changes, licensing, technical developments, and continuing education is required.
