The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations and growth of an insurance agency. Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships through prompt, friendly, and accurate service.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about available insurance options and assist them in making informed decisions.
- Follow up with customers as needed to ensure satisfaction and address any ongoing concerns or questions.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and demonstrate a consistent commitment to achieving goals and delivering high-quality results.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues and supporting office objectives.
- Prepare and deliver timely and thorough activity reports to the agent, ensuring all client interactions and follow-up activities are documented accurately.
- Stay current with product changes, licensing requirements, technical developments, and continuing education as necessary for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Some college education required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- People-oriented and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software functions as needed.
- Pride in completing work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Must be able to obtain a Property & Casualty license.
- Must be able to obtain a Life and Health license.
