Customer Service Representative Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Customer Service Representative to join a State Farm Agent’s team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent service and contributing to the growth of an insurance agency. The position offers comprehensive training for those new to the insurance industry, as well as growth and advancement opportunities within the agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring all client needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service by responding to inquiries about insurance products, policy coverage, availability, eligibility, billing, claim submissions, and policy changes.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based approach to educate clients on insurance options and solutions tailored to their unique needs.
- Follow up with existing and prospective customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities to offer additional products and services.
- Maintain a high standard of work ethic and demonstrate total commitment to achieving success each day.
- Provide timely and thorough activity reports to the agent, documenting customer interactions and outcomes.
- Stay current with industry product changes, licensing requirements, and technical developments through ongoing training and continuing education.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to learn and utilize computer functions relevant to the insurance industry.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Pride in completing work accurately and on time.
- Must be able to obtain Property & Casualty license.
- Must be able to obtain Life and Health insurance license.
Working with a State Farm Agent
This Customer Service Representative position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent’s office. Employees in this role are hired by the independent agent and are not employees of State Farm Insurance Companies. All employees must be able to successfully complete relevant licensing requirements and training programs. State Farm agents are independent business owners who select and manage their own teams.
