Tax Manager, CPA
ARC Group is seeking a highly qualified Tax Manager, CPA for a full-time position with a well-established client, working in a hybrid environment in Jacksonville, FL. This is an opportunity for an experienced tax professional to take on a leadership role, overseeing complex corporate tax engagements and providing expert guidance on tax planning and compliance. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple corporate tax engagements from the planning phase through completion, ensuring all aspects are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Review and oversee the preparation of complex corporate tax returns and ASC 740 income tax provisions, identifying tax-saving opportunities and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Respond to inquiries and audits from federal, state, and local tax authorities, providing thorough documentation and support as needed.
- Supervise, train, and mentor team members including senior associates, associates, and interns, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their operations and providing high-quality, strategic tax guidance tailored to their specific needs and goals.
- Identify opportunities to expand services with current and prospective clients, contributing to business development and client relationship initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth research on tax-related issues and provide well-supported recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and professional standards to ensure clients receive up-to-date and compliant advice.
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality in all client interactions and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Active CPA license or JD with an active law license is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in tax compliance and/or consulting, preferably within public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes), and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate tax regulations.
- Experience in income tax compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions is essential.
- Knowledge of international taxation and transfer pricing is a plus.
- Familiarity with OneSource Tax Provision software is preferred.
