The Corporate Controller will lead the annual and quarterly budgeting process, collaborating closely with department heads to provide strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and planning. You will coordinate all phases of the annual financial audit, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and meets regulatory requirements. This role also includes managing risk programs, such as workers’ compensation and general liability, as well as ensuring compliance with payroll, lease, and tax regulations. The Corporate Controller will spearhead initiatives to mitigate fraud and maintain regulatory standards, helping to protect the business from financial and reputational risks.
Leadership extends beyond numbers; as Corporate Controller, you will provide direction and mentorship to teams across payroll, treasury, risk, accounting, and accounts payable. To succeed in this position, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a strong understanding of GAAP, and hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation. Advanced proficiency in Excel and knowledge of lease accounting, payroll compliance, and tax planning are essential. Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative leadership style will enable you to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
