Construction Superintendent – Summary
- Lead all field operations on commercial construction projects from groundbreaking to completion.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage daily field activities to ensure project schedules and milestones are achieved.
- Create and maintain short-interval, look-ahead schedules to anticipate and address project needs.
- Administer and enforce project site safety plans, fostering a culture of health and cleanliness on every job site.
- Coordinate all work to ensure orderly, high-quality, and contract-compliant execution.
- Establish and maintain dimensional controls, utilizing third-party survey and layout personnel when needed.
- Perform quality control checks to verify workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Secure necessary inspections and thoroughly document all quality aspects of completed work.
- Ensure full compliance with all contract terms, legal requirements, and community standards.
- Administer client-specific programs such as site rules, security, and safety regulations.
- Conduct and participate in pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings.
- Oversee self-performed activities to ensure alignment with established project budgets.
- Manage changes in project scope to ensure the latest documents are used, minimizing rework.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements with proactive consistency.
- Direct the punch list and project closeout process for timely, comprehensive completion.
- Maintain daily project documentation, including timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and correspondence.
- Foster positive working relationships with client teams, vendors, and support staff.
- Assist with project proposals, review estimates, and participate in interviews as needed.
- Engage in marketing efforts and assist in procuring new projects for the company.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support organizational goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Construction Management or similar field, or Journeyman status in a building trade from an accredited organization.
- Demonstrated leadership experience supervising commercial construction projects of increasing responsibility.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, means, and best practices for commercial and institutional buildings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, spreadsheets, and email communication.
- Current safety credentials, including OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
