Construction Scheduler Position Overview
The Construction Scheduler plays a vital role in supporting the successful planning and execution of commercial construction projects. As a full-time Construction Scheduler in Denver, CO, you will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules, collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients, and ensuring the timely and accurate communication of scheduling information. This role focuses on integrating industry-leading scheduling practices, such as Critical Path Method (CPM) and Lean scheduling, to drive project efficiency and meet company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the company professionally and support strategic initiatives across all assigned projects.
- Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and business partners to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Implement and uphold company policies and procedures throughout the scheduling process.

- Gather necessary input from project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to develop comprehensive baseline schedules for commercial construction projects.
- Update project schedule progress and forecasts based on input from project teams, ensuring minimal oversight is required from scheduling leads.
- Facilitate the evaluation of scheduling alternatives and construction practices to accommodate project changes and maintain project timelines.
- Create and modify detailed CPM schedules to efficiently track and plan projects, providing the appropriate level of detail for each phase of construction.
- Manage resource and cost-loaded schedules with minimal supervision, ensuring that project resources are allocated effectively and costs are tracked accurately.
- Supply schedule data for the use of superintendents and foremen, supporting weekly work plans and short-interval scheduling.
- Integrate CPM scheduling with project management software such as CMiC, enhancing project visibility and coordination.
- Archive all project schedules in accordance with company procedures, maintaining accurate historical records.
- Facilitate the implementation of vPlanner at all levels of project scheduling, supporting advanced planning tools and methodologies.
- Lead and manage the Lean Pull Planning process, ensuring effective collaboration and integration of planning data into schedule software.
- Mentor and train direct reports, fostering professional growth and skill development within the scheduling team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- 1 to 7 years of experience in commercial construction roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of construction processes and scheduling requirements.
- Proficiency in industry tools such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Primavera P6, and vPlanner.
- Ability to review and comprehend contract documents to ensure all scheduling requirements and deliverables are met.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, enabling effective prioritization and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
Certifications
- Professional Scheduling Certification is preferred (may not apply to all scheduling roles).
