Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Development
- Lead the planning and initiation of multifamily and hotel construction projects, including establishing budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that detail project scope, goals, deliverables, and key timelines.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all project specifications and requirements are met.
- Team Leadership and Coordination
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, maintaining alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct regular meetings to monitor progress, address issues proactively, and adjust project plans as necessary.
- Budget and Resource Management
- Oversee project budgets and ensure cost controls are in place for all expenditures.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, providing periodic budget updates to senior management.
- Optimize the use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, for project efficiency.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Implement rigorous quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Perform regular site inspections to track progress and verify adherence to plans and specifications.
- Risk Management and Problem Resolution
- Identify potential project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Resolve conflicts or issues that arise during construction to ensure minimal disruption to schedules.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all project activities, decisions, and changes.
- Communication and Reporting
- Serve as the main point of contact for all project-related communications with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates and detailed reports, including progress, budget, and risk assessments, to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in multifamily or hotel development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven record of managing multifamily construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building materials, and relevant legal regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Procore, or Bluebeam.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- PMP, CCM, or similar certifications are advantageous but not required.
Working Conditions
- Work may take place both on-site at construction locations and in office environments.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
