We are seeking a skilled Commercial Paint Estimator and Project Manager to support our team in delivering high-quality painting and waterproofing projects. This is a full-time opportunity based in Carlsbad, CA. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for estimating, planning, and overseeing commercial painting projects, ensuring the highest standards of cost control and project delivery. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in construction estimating and project management, particularly within commercial or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete estimation process for commercial painting and waterproofing projects, from initial review to final submission.
- Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary project details and bid information.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best possible pricing for materials and services.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout all phases to ensure adherence to established budgets and financial goals.
- Provide strategic input on pricing, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities to maximize project success.
- Review and assess project contracts for accuracy and compliance with company requirements.
- Facilitate local site visits as needed to verify project conditions and requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in construction estimating, cost control, and project management, preferably within commercial painting or waterproofing sectors.
- Proficient analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex project documents.
- Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Previous experience in painting or waterproofing is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional approach to client and team interactions.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Thorough knowledge of contract terms, conditions, and industry standards.
