Cloud Security Engineer - Summary- Develop and enforce secure cloud architectures across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Enable infrastructure and application teams to integrate cloud security controls and practices.
- Lead initiatives to enhance identity and access management (IAM), monitoring, and incident response in cloud environments.
- Mentor and train internal teams on evolving cloud security best practices and threat mitigation strategies.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures to protect enterprise systems and data in AWS and Azure environments.
- Secure cloud-native applications, infrastructure, and identity services in alignment with established enterprise security standards.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, including least privilege principles, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), integrating with enterprise identity providers.
- Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities using native cloud tools and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) integrations.
- Collaborate with internal infrastructure and security teams to communicate changes, provide technical guidance, and offer mentorship as security maturity increases.
- Continuously assess and improve cloud security configurations, responding proactively to new threats and vulnerabilities.

- Minimum of 5 years hands-on cloud security experience securing AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing cloud security architectures, not limited to supporting existing builds.
- Advanced IAM knowledge, including experience with AWS IAM/Organizations/Identity Center or Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Proven experience implementing cloud security services, configuring logging and monitoring, and deploying threat detection tools such as AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config, Inspector, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or Sentinel, with integration to SIEM platforms.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to mentor and train technical teams in cloud security best practices.
- Self-motivated and hands-on, eager to take ownership of cloud security posture improvements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for identifying and mitigating security risks.
