The Clinical Psychologist, PhD/PsyD will provide psychological services within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, focusing on delivering evidence-based care to patients in a primary care setting. This role involves conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, establishing diagnoses according to established guidelines, and formulating behavioral health interventions. You will be responsible for providing brief, consultation-based services to patients and collaborating with primary care providers to ensure integrated, patient-centered care. Your work will have a direct impact on patient wellness, helping individuals and groups address mental health challenges, cope with medical conditions, and develop skills for long-term health and wellbeing.
This is a full-time position supporting military medical facilities, including internal medicine departments and branch health clinics. You will work closely with medical teams, participate in group medical appointments, and contribute technical direction and clinical insight to ongoing projects. Clinical Psychologist, PhD/PsyD - Summary
- Full-time position providing clinical psychological services in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting

Duties & Responsibilities
- Practice within the ethical and professional guidelines set by state licensing boards and the American Psychological Association
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders
- Provide psychological treatment and behavioral interventions to individuals and groups
- Assist medical and surgical patients in coping with illness, injury, and rehabilitation
- Deliver brief, consultation-based services to patients using an integrated care model
- Collaborate with primary care managers, providing timely feedback and recommendations
- Determine appropriateness of psychological services within the primary care setting
- Formulate and assist in implementing behavioral health interventions as part of patient treatment plans
- Provide brief follow-ups and relapse prevention education
- Develop, teach, and oversee skill-building classes to enhance psychological and physical health
- Ensure concise documentation of patient care and recommendations within 24 hours
- Participate in group medical appointments, such as Shared Medical Appointments and Drop-in Group Medical Appointments, as requested
- Offer technical direction and clinical insight for relevant site-specific projects
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from an APA-accredited institution
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship in psychology, or a one-year fellowship/residency in health psychology/behavioral medicine
- At least one year of relevant clinical experience within the past four years
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any U.S. state, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands
- U.S. citizenship required
- Successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background check
