Civil Project Engineer, PE Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer, PE to join a leading general contracting firm’s Land Development division. Key Responsibilities
- Perform standard and complex design tasks utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) equipment to develop detailed project plans for land development and aviation projects.
- Apply advanced knowledge of CAD applications, particularly AutoCAD Civil 3D, to handle design tasks of varying complexity, including non-routine and specialized assignments.
- Support project managers by conducting mathematical analyses, performing calculations, and organizing project documentation to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams and clients to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff, fostering their technical and professional development.
- Travel as necessary to project sites and client meetings to meet project and organizational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong analytical skills, including preparing statistical reports.
- Demonstrated experience with residential and commercial land development projects; experience with municipal and/or industrial land development is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Strong team collaboration and client relationship abilities.
