Responsibilities
- Develop project scope, schedules, and budgets while coordinating with both internal teams and external sub-consultants to ensure all project requirements are met efficiently.
- Lead periodic design team meetings to facilitate clear communication, resolve project-related issues, and keep all stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee billing processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing to clients; prioritize accounts receivable to maintain healthy project cash flow.
- Implement and manage quality control (QC) reviews and coordinate the quality assurance (QA) process in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
- Contribute to project planning by assisting in the development of detailed plans, cost estimates, timelines, and specific project specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is mandatory (reciprocity within three months is acceptable).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering project management, with a focus on residential, commercial, mixed-use, and/or industrial site development projects.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D software is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in business development, including proposal writing, preparing scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of mentoring junior staff and effectively managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, supervisors, and clients.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to prepare and interpret statistical reports related to project progress and outcomes.
- Ability to delegate tasks, follow up on assignments, and ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
- Valid Driver’s License required; willingness to travel as needed to fulfill project requirements.
