Civil Engineer, PE Position OverviewIDR is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer, PE to join its team in a full-time, remote capacity. This position provides an excellent opportunity for professionals with advanced experience in transportation infrastructure design and project delivery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in civil engineering and will be responsible for leading and supporting complex transportation infrastructure projects. Responsibilities- Lead and manage the design of transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and transit corridors.
- Utilize advanced software tools such as Bentley MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoCAD for detailed project design and drafting.
- Supervise and provide mentorship to junior engineers and CAD designers, ensuring high-quality and timely project deliverables.
- Coordinate effectively with Departments of Transportation (DOTs), municipal agencies, and various project stakeholders to align project objectives and requirements.
- Contribute to the planning, design development, and preparation of construction documents for public infrastructure projects.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of DOT standards and best practices in transportation engineering.
- Foster a collaborative environment that supports innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant civil engineering experience, specifically focused on transportation projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with DOT standards and involvement in public infrastructure project delivery.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
