Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - Summary- Deliver advanced respiratory therapy services to a diverse patient population, including critically ill adults, children, infants, trauma, and burn patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive, high-quality patient care.
- Maintain and troubleshoot specialized respiratory therapy equipment and clinical documentation systems.
- Contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting service members, veterans, and their families.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, reviewing medical histories, examination findings, and diagnostic results.
- Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation and other advanced life-support systems.
- Deliver respiratory therapies such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and lung expansion treatments.
- Collect and interpret arterial blood gases and recommend interventions based on protocols.
- Manage artificial airways, including endotracheal and tracheostomy tubes, and provide emergency airway support.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain respiratory equipment, ventilators, and monitoring systems.
- Participate as a member of rapid response and resuscitation teams, providing critical airway management.
- Collaborate on treatment planning and discharge activities with physicians and healthcare staff.
- Educate and train patients, families, students, and staff on respiratory care procedures and equipment use.
- Document all assessments, therapies, outcomes, and quality activities accurately in electronic records.

- Associate degree from a program accredited by CoARC, CAAHEP, or equivalent military program.
- Certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the NBRC.
- Current certifications: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Minimum of one year of experience within the last two years in pulmonary respiratory therapy, including adult, pediatric, and NICU neonatal practices.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and move patients and equipment (up to 50 pounds), and respond quickly in clinical and emergency situations.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experienced respiratory therapist with strong clinical assessment and critical care skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency in managing mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory therapies.
- Strong communicator, adept at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating others.
- Detail-oriented with accurate clinical documentation and compliance with healthcare standards.
