Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Summary
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings at Joint Base Fort Lewis-McChord.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care plans and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement within the healthcare team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver age-specific care in accordance with SOPs and healthcare provider orders.
- Monitor and record vital signs, promptly reporting deviations to the team leader and ensuring thorough documentation.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, exercise, turning, repositioning, and transportation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and supply areas, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste and soiled materials appropriately.
- Observe and report changes in patients' physical or emotional condition, escalating concerns to nursing or medical personnel as necessary.
- Support minor, acute, and routine primary care tasks under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.
- Float between inpatient and outpatient care settings to support patients requiring behavioral health monitoring, line-of-sight supervision, or one-on-one chaperoning within scope of practice.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
- At least one year of CNA experience post-graduation.
- Active and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Successful completion of a NACI background check.
