We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at Mountain State Medicine and Rheumatology PLLC. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an adult primary care setting, ensuring a high standard of service and professionalism at all times.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient information, with familiarity in Greenway Primesuite considered an asset.
- Prepare patients for examination, take vital signs, and accurately record medical histories.
- Administer vaccines and injections according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Assist providers with medical procedures and support daily clinical workflow to ensure efficiency within the practice.
- Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations, maintaining clear and timely communication with both patients and healthcare partners.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and team members.
- Adapt to daily changes in a fast-paced healthcare environment, multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities as needed.
- Exhibit dependability and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall patient experience.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required.
- Minimum of one year experience in adult primary care or clinical medical assisting preferred.
- Proficiency with EHR systems, with specific experience in Greenway Primesuite considered beneficial.
- Experience with administering vaccines and injections in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with the referral process and prior authorization procedures is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to adapt to a dynamic medical environment.
- Physical ability to stand for at least two hours at a time and walk up to one mile continuously.
- Associate degree or equivalent education is required.

Additional Information
- This is a full-time, in-person position.
- Schedule consists of 8-hour shifts, totaling approximately 37.5 hours per week.
