We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our multi-specialty clinic team on a full-time basis. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting physicians and ensuring high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake by gathering and documenting vital signs and medical histories accurately.
- Perform detailed and precise data entry into the electronic medical records (EMR) system to ensure all patient information is up-to-date.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor office procedures, providing necessary support for efficient patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment by following strict sterilization protocols for surgical instruments and clinical areas.
- Obtain authorizations for medications and facilitate the administration of injections and immunizations as directed by the provider.
- Process referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Administer EKGs and perform basic on-site laboratory tests in accordance with established clinical procedures.
- Uphold professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to established protocols at all times.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience obtaining and recording vital signs in a clinical setting.
- One year of experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a positive attitude and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to follow established clinical procedures with attention to accuracy and professionalism.
