Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Job OverviewJoin our internal medicine team as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in a full-time position. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will support physicians and clinical providers, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations within a medical office environment. This position offers a standard Monday through Friday schedule with no nights or weekends required, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and clinical support to physicians, including preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Assist with medical procedures and administer medications or vaccines as directed by licensed providers and in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate patient flow in the office to ensure timely and efficient appointments.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing patient records.
- Educate patients on care instructions as directed by providers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
- Restock supplies and prepare exam rooms for patient visits.
- Work collaboratively with the internal medicine team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program.
- Demonstrated experience working in a medical office setting, preferably in internal medicine or a similar specialty.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
