Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – Summary- Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures.
- Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary cardiac team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Delivers patient education, pre-procedure preparation, and post-procedure monitoring in a high-acuity environment.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards within the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, including vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies as ordered.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields and ensure equipment readiness for procedures.
- Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, recovery, and aftercare instructions.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in accordance with hospital policy.
- Respond quickly to emergencies and support code situations as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized care plans.

- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or similar cardiac care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in using cardiac monitoring equipment and electronic health records.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
