Business Development Manager - Summary
- Lead and coordinate key business development initiatives, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Collaborate with technical leaders, business development teams, and executive leadership to support growth objectives.
- Administer and maintain an up-to-date business development pipeline and support related activities.
- Participate in trade show planning, execution, and follow-up to maximize organizational exposure and networking opportunities.
- Coordinate proposal development and meeting logistics to keep the team organized and on track.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Pipeline Administration
- Collaborate with business area leads and capture teams to ensure the business development pipeline is current and accurate.
- Track and manage action items and due dates associated with pipeline activities.
- Coordinate pipeline reviews and presentations for senior leadership.
- Trade Show Support
- Identify and prioritize key trade shows in conjunction with marketing and business development teams.
- Work with design teams to develop effective booth layouts and marketing materials.
- Provide hands-on assistance with trade show setup and breakdown.
- Organize and schedule meetings during trade shows to optimize networking and business opportunities.
- Establish and nurture relationships with customers and industry partners during events.
- Proposal Coordination
- Maintain and oversee the proposal development schedule to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure that all proposal inputs are tracked and organized according to company standards.
- Host regular status meetings or scrums to keep the proposal team aligned and on task.
- Meeting Coordination
- Organize and coordinate business development meetings, including Gate Reviews, Capture Deep Dives, and Proposal Reviews.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Excel, SharePoint, and Word.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage professionally with coworkers and customers.
- Comfortable presenting status updates and plans of action to executive leadership.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
Ideal Candidate Snapshot
- Previous operational experience with weapon system hardware is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of operational use cases for weapon and training systems.
- Aspirations to pursue Defense Acquisition Training and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
