The Building Automation Integration Specialist is responsible for the configuration, commissioning, and optimization of complex building control systems. In this role, you will ensure that all system installations and integrations meet the strict requirements outlined in project specifications. With a focus on building automation controls, you will utilize your technical knowledge to develop, test, and implement software and hardware solutions that drive energy efficiency and building performance. As a Building Automation Integration Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end process of integrating a wide array of building systems, including, but not limited to, HVAC, lighting, and environmental controls. Your responsibilities will include configuring and commissioning controllers at both the system and network levels, ensuring seamless operation and peak performance of the entire building automation infrastructure. You will validate system functionality, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Your technical acumen will also be applied in creating precise as-built drawings and software documentation, supporting ongoing operations and future upgrades.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the Building Automation Integration Specialist will play a key role in delivering customer-focused support. You will provide tailored training sessions to building owners and system operators, ensuring they are equipped to maximize the use and performance of their building automation systems. Duties & Responsibilities
- Configure and test complex building control systems to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Develop, load, and commission controllers at both system and network levels for optimal performance.
- Validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues to ensure peak system operation.
- Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to coordinate system integration and delivery.
- Create accurate as-built drawings and comprehensive software documentation for building automation projects.
- Provide customized training to building owners and operators on the use and maintenance of integrated systems.
- Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers regarding inspection results and service findings.
- Integrate low voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols such as LON and BacNet.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Building Automation Controls Systems, with preferred familiarity with platforms such as Schneider Electric, SmartStruxure, Space Logic, I/A, Andover Continuum, and Tridium Niagara R2/AX/N4.
- At least 2 years of experience working with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
- Solid understanding of the construction or HVAC industry is highly desirable.
- Basic networking knowledge for troubleshooting and system integration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
- Experience with integrating low voltage building sub-systems using LON, BacNet, or similar industry protocols.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
