The Building Automation Integration Specialist plays a vital role in configuring, testing, and commissioning advanced building control systems to align with contract specifications and industry standards. This position is responsible for developing and validating essential software programs, conducting comprehensive system and network-level controller commissioning, and ensuring the seamless operation and integration of building automation technologies. Working as part of a collaborative project management and engineering environment, the Building Automation Integration Specialist will help drive the successful delivery of high-performance, energy-efficient facilities solutions.
In this dynamic role, the Building Automation Integration Specialist is expected to demonstrate strong technical acumen in building automation controls and low-voltage system integration. Key responsibilities include validating system functionality, troubleshooting performance issues, and supporting the transition of projects from installation to client handover. This will include the creation of detailed as-built documentation, software records, and training materials tailored to building owners and operators. The Building Automation Integration Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all functional and operational specifications are met and that clients receive comprehensive support and training on their building control systems.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with multiple building automation platforms, including Schneider Electric, SmartStruxure, Space Logic, I/A, Andover Continuum, and Tridium Niagara R2/AX/N4. An associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Additional qualifications include a minimum of one year’s direct experience with building automation controls, two years with mechanical or electrical engineering systems, and demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC and construction industry. Familiarity with network protocols such as LON and BacNet, as well as a solid understanding of control theory and automatic temperature controls, is essential. Strong communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with customers, coworkers, and project stakeholders.

- Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
- Basic networking and IT knowledge relevant to building automation systems.
- Expertise in control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
- Experience integrating low-voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols such as LON and BacNet.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and customer interaction.
