Breast Radiologist Job OverviewOptigy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Breast Radiologist for a locum tenens, onsite position in Pensacola, FL. As a Breast Radiologist, you will play a vital role in the detection, diagnosis, and management of breast diseases, offering high-quality patient care in accordance with national standards.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and breast MRI studies, ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses.
- Perform image-guided breast procedures, including biopsies and localizations, as required by clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, oncologists, and referring physicians to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance and peer review processes to uphold standards of diagnostic excellence.
- Adapt to varying clinical schedules and departmental needs, including the possibility of call coverage as assigned by site.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice as a Breast Radiologist in the state of Florida.
- Completion of an accredited radiology residency program and fellowship training in breast imaging or equivalent experience.
- Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent national certifying body.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in breast imaging and procedures.
- History of clean malpractice and background record preferred to facilitate credentialing.
- Ability to meet all credentialing requirements; process typically takes up to 90 days, expedited for those with a clean history.
This is a locum tenens (contract) onsite position for a Breast Radiologist in Pensacola, FL. Scheduling is based on standard shifts or departmental requirements, with call responsibilities varying by site.
