Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster (BI Claims Adjuster) - Remote Contract Position OverviewARC Group is seeking experienced Bodily Injury Claims Adjusters (BI Claims Adjusters) for a remote, contract-based role with a leading insurance underwriter headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This opportunity is structured as a 90-day contract with the potential to extend based on business needs. As a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing and resolving bodily injury claims, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and working closely with legal counsel and internal teams. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in bodily injury, liability, property damage, and commercial auto insurance claims. The employment type for this position is contract-based, and it offers the flexibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate bodily injury claims while ensuring compliance with both legal requirements and company policies.
- Correspond and conduct interviews with agents, witnesses, and claimants to obtain accurate information relevant to claims investigations.
- Take comprehensive statements from all parties involved in the claims process, maintaining detailed documentation for each case.
- Calculate and authorize the payment of claims within established monetary limits and guidelines.
- Negotiate and settle property losses and bodily injury claims independently, utilizing sound judgment and adhering to best practices.
- Work collaboratively with legal counsel to manage cases and ensure proper legal handling of claims.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other involved parties in a manner that is both fair and cost-effective.
- Partner with underwriters, claims specialists, and other internal teams to facilitate efficient and timely claims resolutions.
- Prepare thorough documentation pertaining to claims investigations, legal actions, and settlement agreements.
- Provide management with regular reports on the status of claims, legal developments, and financial outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as internal company policies and procedures.
- Stay up to date on changes in industry legislation and best practices affecting bodily injury and commercial auto claims.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in bodily injury claims, liability, property damage, or commercial auto insurance (preferred).
- Demonstrated recent experience managing Bodily Injury/BI claims and property damage claims is required.
- Proven ability in conflict resolution and negotiation, with strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on professionalism and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining a high standard of organization and documentation.
