The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) plays a vital role within the school setting by providing expert behavioral support and consultation services. As a Full-time professional in Quincy, WA, the BCBA is responsible for promoting positive behavioral change and supporting students with behavioral challenges or developmental disabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the root causes of behavioral issues and develop evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Create, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Support the implementation of behavior management strategies within classrooms and throughout various school environments, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
- Provide ongoing coaching, professional development, and support to teachers, classroom aides, and school staff to enhance their ability to address and manage student behavior.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to guide decision-making and adjust interventions as needed for optimal student progress.
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, related service providers, administrators, and families to promote a holistic approach to student success and well-being.
- Ensure all practices and interventions are compliant with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as well as applicable state and federal regulations governing special education and behavioral services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a closely related field.
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, demonstrating advanced knowledge and expertise in behavioral analysis and intervention.
- Valid state licensure or the ability to meet state credentialing requirements, as required for practice in Quincy, WA.
- Experience working with children in school-based or clinical settings is preferred, reflecting the ability to apply behavioral principles in educational environments.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
