Bilingual Insurance Agent Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Insurance Agent to join our team in Pomona, CA on a full-time basis. As a Bilingual Insurance Agent, you will leverage your proficiency in both Spanish and English to serve a diverse clientele, providing essential insurance solutions and outstanding customer service. This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent’s office, offering opportunities to grow within an established agency environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop leads through proactive outreach, schedule appointments, and assess customer needs to recommend appropriate insurance products and services.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, conducting follow-ups to ensure continued satisfaction and address any ongoing requirements.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including responding to inquiries about insurance availability, eligibility, policy coverages, changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarifications.
- Contribute to the agency’s growth by identifying and seizing opportunities to expand customer portfolios and cross-sell additional insurance products.
- Uphold compliance with all regulatory and agency policies related to insurance sales and customer interactions.
- At least three years of prior experience in the insurance industry, with experience in State Farm agencies considered an advantage.
- Sales experience is preferred, whether in outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing environments.
- Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales goals and quotas is desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential, as is the ability to actively listen and respond effectively to customer needs.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to build rapport and effectively relate to customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Active Property & Casualty license and Life & Health insurance license are required to perform the responsibilities of the role.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required to meet the needs of the agency’s client base.
