Bilingual Customer Service Representative Job DescriptionThe Bilingual Customer Service Representative role offers an exciting opportunity to support a successful insurance agency in Flushing, NY. As a full-time team member, you will leverage your fluency in Korean and English to enhance customer experiences and contribute to the agency’s ongoing growth. While prior insurance experience is not required, candidates must be able to obtain the necessary insurance licensing, including Property & Casualty and Life and Health licenses.
As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital part in establishing and maintaining positive customer relationships. Your responsibilities will include engaging with clients through value-driven conversations, responding promptly to inquiries related to insurance products, and assisting with policy changes, claim submissions, and billing clarifications. By using a needs-based approach, you will educate customers about various insurance options, ensuring they receive the guidance necessary to make informed decisions about their coverage.
Responsibilities- Establish and nurture customer relationships, providing follow-up as needed to ensure satisfaction.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly service by addressing inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy updates, transfers, and claims.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients on available insurance solutions.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and demonstrate a commitment to daily success and continuous improvement.
- Provide timely and thorough reports of activities to the agent, supporting office operations and communication.
- Stay current with product updates, licensing requirements, technical developments, and continuing education opportunities.
- Fluency in both Korean and English, enabling effective communication with diverse client populations.
- Ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life and Health insurance licenses.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
