Bank Teller - Summary
As a Bank Teller, you will be responsible for processing a wide range of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, money orders, and more. The Bank Teller is also tasked with responding to customer inquiries regarding accounts and banking products, maintaining transaction records, and supporting branch operations as needed. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve customers in a professional and courteous manner, processing walk-in and drive-in transactions efficiently.
- Handle deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, money orders, traveler’s checks, and bond transactions.
- Ensure all information is complete and accurate before finalizing transactions to maintain compliance with financial regulations.
- Respond to inquiries regarding checking, savings accounts, and other banking products, providing clear and accurate information.
- Record all transactions promptly and accurately in accordance with established bank procedures.
- Support other banking centers as needed to ensure continuity of service and operational efficiency.
- Process commercial deposits, mail-in deposits, and night drop transactions as part of daily operations.
- Balance cash and checks in the cash drawer at the end of each shift, maintaining accuracy and accountability.
- Verify strapped money from shipments and customer deposits to ensure correct amounts and documentation.
- Prepare reports for transactions exceeding $10,000, maintaining compliance with reporting requirements.
- Process daily incoming and outgoing collection items, working closely with other team members to ensure proper handling.
