Workstation Technician (Contract) Job Overview
IDR is seeking a Workstation Technician for a contract role with one of its top healthcare clients in Riverside, CA. This full-time, two-year contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, team-oriented environment and contribute to the ongoing delivery of technical support services within a large healthcare organization. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for a Microsoft-based network environment, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Teams.
- Address basic desktop and networking issues, ensuring seamless operation of end-user devices and network connectivity.
- Manage and troubleshoot PC hardware and software, supporting desktops, laptops, tablets, and resolving network communication and peripheral device concerns.
- Assist with the deployment process, which includes receiving assets, staging equipment, executing deployments, and updating asset management systems to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Perform data transfer and recovery tasks, administer email accounts, and prepare IT assets for disposition, following technical manuals and organizational guidelines for compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional customer service experience supporting PC and Macintosh desktop computing hardware.
- Proficiency in operating system installation and configuration, hardware configuration, and software installation.
- At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing role, including direct interaction with clinical staff and asset inventory management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume PC refreshes (over 5 daily and 25 weekly), ensuring timely and accurate deployments and updates.
