The Assistant Manager plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence and team leadership within a dynamic business environment. This full-time position partners closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless daily operations, a positive workplace culture, and high-quality service for customers and team members alike. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily operations to maximize efficiency and service quality.
- Supervise and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Schedule shifts, coordinate staff training sessions, and participate in performance management processes to support employee growth and accountability.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and track usage to ensure operational needs are consistently met.
- Enforce compliance with all health, safety, and operational policies to maintain a safe, productive, and legally compliant workplace.
- Resolve customer concerns and inquiries with professionalism, aiming to exceed expectations and build positive relationships.
- Analyze performance data and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to achieve or surpass organizational targets.
- Act as the manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory or management position, preferably within restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, leadership, and customers.
- Demonstrated capability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team toward common goals.
- Proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities, especially in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
- A solid understanding of business operations including scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling procedures.
- Willingness and flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as operational needs require.
