Assistant General Manager Position OverviewThe Assistant General Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the leadership and daily operations of a fast casual dining restaurant. As an integral part of the management team, the Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager to ensure that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly. This role is responsible for upholding high standards of customer service, food quality, and team performance, while also contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the business. Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, monitoring food and beverage quality, and supporting financial objectives.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, training, and development of restaurant employees, cultivating a positive work culture and a commitment to exceptional service delivery.
- Maintain rigorous standards for cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation in accordance with local health regulations, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
- Manage inventory processes by monitoring stock levels, placing orders for ingredients and supplies, and focusing on cost control without compromising quality.
- Implement and enforce operational procedures and policies aimed at maximizing efficiency, including effective table management and timely preparation of menu items.
- Address guest feedback, questions, and concerns professionally, taking swift action to resolve issues and consistently exceeding guest expectations.
- Work with the General Manager to review and analyze financial reports, budgets, and performance forecasts, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective strategies as necessary.

- At least two years of experience as an Assistant General Manager or similar supervisory role within a casual dining or full-service restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven record of motivating and managing diverse teams.
- Excellent customer service orientation and a dedication to creating memorable guest experiences.
- Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage preparation, inventory oversight, and financial analysis.
