Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager helps turn strategic goals into actionable results by leveraging customer insights, sales data, and operational trends. Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed individual sales and revenue targets while driving shop-level performance
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth, including customer retention, increased visit frequency, new service offerings, and local partnerships
- Convert customer needs and technician recommendations into approved work using strong sales skills
- Monitor sales trends and operating data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Help build a high-performing sales culture and ensure team members understand and own their goals
- Partner with the General Manager to set clear expectations and maintain team accountability
- Coach employees on achieving sales, customer experience, productivity, and operational goals
- Provide direct feedback, recognize strong performance, and support career development of staff
- Build long-term customer relationships and foster loyalty through outstanding service
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve customer experience, retention, and referrals
- Resolve complex customer concerns while protecting business interests
- Coordinate workflow among Service Advisors, technicians, and management to ensure operational efficiency
- Diagnose performance issues early and implement corrective actions proactively

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven track record in driving sales, revenue, or business performance through individual contribution and team leadership
- Experience in a leadership role within retail, sales, hospitality, automotive service, or other fast-paced, customer-oriented businesses
- Demonstrated ability to set expectations, coach to KPIs, and hold teams accountable for results
- Strong sales instincts, including value building, objection handling, and closing
- Business acumen to identify growth opportunities and create sustainable revenue streams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining urgency and follow-through
