Assembly Technician - Summary
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting work orders and blueprints, assembling components, measuring materials, performing kitting processes, and supporting inventory control. You will utilize both hand tools and computer systems to track tasks and ensure assemblies are completed accurately and efficiently. This full-time role in Cartersville, GA, is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who excel in hands-on environments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read job travelers, work orders, and blueprints to identify parts and verify components for assembly.
- Assemble components using a variety of basic hand tools, such as drills, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers, ensuring each piece meets precise standards.
- Accurately measure components and materials using tape measures and the decimal system.
- Perform kitting processes, including precise math calculations and weight measurements, to prepare material kits for production.
- Utilize ERP systems and software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace, for tracking materials and documenting tasks.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Support inventory control by managing materials, supplies, and completed assemblies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, and written job instructions accurately.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and basic computer systems, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP tools.
- Strong math skills, particularly with decimals and weight measurements relevant to kitting and assembly processes.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods, including lifting materials up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
