QA Tester Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our remote team on a full-time basis. This QA Tester position focuses on evaluating the functionality and user experience of applications throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). As a key member of the quality assurance team, you will participate in every stage of the app's evolution, from initial builds to final pre-release versions, helping to ensure high standards of quality and a seamless end-user experience.
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive testing scenarios across various development stages, including alpha, beta, and release candidate versions.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, performance issues, and usability concerns as the application progresses through its lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to provide actionable feedback and facilitate rapid resolution of identified issues.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to verify that new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on the application's status and quality at regular intervals, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools, as well as version control and issue tracking platforms.
- Previous experience in software quality assurance, app testing, or related fields emphasizing continuous integration and delivery is preferred.
- Reliable internet connection and access to necessary mobile and/or desktop devices for thorough testing coverage.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced changes in software builds and prioritize testing tasks effectively to meet project timelines.
