Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – Outpatient Overview
We are seeking a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our dynamic outpatient team in Dover, DE. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about delivering high-quality primary care to adult and geriatric populations. The Adult Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively within a supportive clinical environment, providing comprehensive care to patients and contributing to positive health outcomes in the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessments for adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.
- Diagnose acute and chronic conditions, develop and manage individualized treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling to patients and their families regarding wellness, lifestyle changes, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks electronic medical record (EMR) system to document all patient interactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Optionally, provide psychiatric consults at a local inpatient psychiatric facility if desired, with additional compensation available for that service.
- Maintain administrative responsibilities, with dedicated time allotted for documentation and care coordination during the standard workday.
- Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 18 patients, ages 17 and older, focusing on delivering individualized, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Current board certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
- Active Delaware (DE) nursing license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Delaware.
- Valid DE Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration or eligibility to obtain.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally competent, and patient-focused care.
- Ability to integrate effectively within a collaborative team environment and align with organizational culture.
- Open to candidates who are new graduates or have prior experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Employment Details and Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Dover, DE with a regular Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is no on-call requirement, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Administrative time is built into the schedule to facilitate thorough and efficient patient care.
