Accounts Receivable Specialist Position Overview
IDR is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a leading client in Fort Morgan, CO. This full-time position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounts receivable, particularly those who have supported infrastructure or compliance-related projects. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a key role within a collaborative finance team, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial processes during critical infrastructure replacement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Financial Specialist by supporting all accounts receivable activities related to infrastructure replacement projects.
- Manage and monitor high-volume or milestone-based billing cycles, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing for infrastructure and compliance projects.
- Reconcile incoming payments, billing submissions, and accounts receivable records with a high level of accuracy to maintain financial integrity.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal finance teams, project managers, and external funding agencies to support project billing and reimbursement processes.
- Utilize ERP and financial systems to process and track accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all data is up-to-date and compliant with company standards.
- Support documentation and reporting related to government or FCC reimbursement programs and participate in audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a setting supporting infrastructure, construction, or telecom projects.
- Proficiency in ERP or financial software platforms, such as Dynamics SL, Quickbase, or similar systems used for accounts receivable processing and tracking.
- Demonstrated experience with complex billing arrangements, including multi-phase or milestone-based billings.
- Familiarity with federal or government-funded billing cycles, including FCC reimbursement programs, is a significant plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is highly preferred; candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Prior experience in the construction or telecommunications industry is preferred.
