Accounts Receivable Analyst Position Overview
IDR is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our client on a contract basis in Sparks, NV. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of accounts receivable duties, focusing on the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Apply accounting principles and conduct financial analysis to support daily operational tasks.
- Ensure all receivable records are maintained in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with other finance and accounting team members to resolve discrepancies and support month-end closing activities.
- Utilize advanced features of Microsoft Excel and accounting software to analyze, track, and report on receivables data.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills by effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the overall success of the department.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and support internal controls within the accounts receivable function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting software.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Preferred: Experience with AR/billing in the U.S. Military, Department of Defense, or Aerospace and Defense industry.
