The Accounting Analyst role is an integral position responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and supporting vital accounting processes within the organization. As an Accounting Analyst, you will maintain financial records, prepare journal entries, generate financial reports, reconcile accounts, and play a key role in supporting annual audit activities. You will be responsible for reconciling a variety of accounts, including bank accounts, trial balances, and capital assets, while maintaining strong internal financial controls. This role is also instrumental in preparing for and supporting both internal and external audits, compiling necessary documentation, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards.

In this role, you will also administer grant funding by tracking expenditures, maintaining compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, and preparing and submitting required financial reports. You will assist with budget preparation, monitor budget performance, and analyze variances to provide actionable financial analysis that supports operational goals. The Accounting Analyst position also requires participation in departmental initiatives, process improvements, and special projects, providing financial support to internal teams as needed.

To be successful in this position, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree (preferred), a minimum of five years of accounting experience, and advanced Excel skills.
